Rishik Perugu
Hi! I am a graduate student in the department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of California, Irvine. I was previously at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore where I did my Bachelor of Science (Research) and Master of Science from 2019 to 2024.
I am working in condensed matter theory under the supervision of Prof. Thomas Scaffidi. My current research interests are
- Quantum many-body dynamics
- Using quantum information tools to understand, classify quantum phases of matter
- Open quantum systems.

| Mar 20, 2025 | Attended my first APS Global Summit in Anaheim and gave a talk titled Non-equilibrium dynamics of pure states in the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model. This work is done in collaboration with Arijit Haldar and my master’s thesis advisor Sumilan Banerjee. |
